Awards Policy
All activities (academic, sporting, cultural and extra-mural) at Penryn are recognised by the College Awards Policy. This is attached below in the download section below. This is a structure that enables scholars to strive towards achieving a series of awards that recognise sustained effort and contribution as well as excellence. The policy is progressive, recognising participation in team and merit awards and recognising true excellence (as defined by national representation) in honours awards. Dress awards are made at each level and culminate in an honours blazer and tie.

The highest awards made at the College are Penryn Awards that recognize endeavour and achievement across all spheres (academic, sporting, cultural, leadership and service) and reflect our ethos of holism.

Grade 8 scholars may achieve awards according to this policy but may only wear these awards at the beginning of their Grade 9 year. As Penryn Awards recognise endeavour on a sustained basis these are not available to scholars in the Middle Phase.
