Grade 1 to Grade3Foundation Phase
The core focus of the Foundation Phase is to create an environment where scholars are exposed to different experiences in a happy, nurturing environment.
This develops firm foundational skills that enable our children to be adaptable and confident individuals -setting the tone for future-fit thinking and a collaborative – learning style – a pivotal skill set for the 21st century child.
Relationship building is the cornerstone of developing
self-esteem and trust for scholars to blossom and
explore the many facets of what we offer at Penryn.
Curiosity, insight and confidenceIndividualized Nurturing for Holistic Growth
It is equally important for scholars to develop a solid work ethic which is vital for the development of a child. Emotional wellbeing and the development of social skills is an important part of learning, we aim to develop scholars who can persevere, learn to venture out in a loving and safe environment.

Grade 4 - Grade 7Senior Prep
At the Senior Prep, we develop life-long scholars who are able to problem solve.
We find ways to centre learning on a global approach, without abandoning what is relevant and dear within the African context.
Building character beyond the classroomPositive Learning in a Natural Setting
We are all about creating a positive, energetic learning experience, but within the natural and unpretentious environment. We foster an inquiry-based ethos, with a focus on teamwork, problem-solving and self-awareness focusing on character-building and compassion for others.
Structured and Balanced LearningAcademic Life
At Penryn Prep we have a structured, yet ordered and routinely, inclusive day and weekly programme across the spectrum that has academics, sport and co-curricular activities all blended into the given times for each phase of each day.
Keyboard tuition, music, art, drama, coding, and a full programme once again of an abundance of clubs included in the weekly programme. Scholars are encouraged to use the Senior Preparatory library to increase reading and comprehension skills.

Community Service
Our aim is to prepare each scholar for a life in a global changing environment
Part of being a global citizen, is embracing diversity and having servant leadership skills to unify people. Scholars are strongly encouraged through their grades and classes to become involved in service-based activities within the immediate and global community.
Penryn strives to give back to our community and Penreach through community outreach programmes and service. Collecting books on World Book Day, Shoes on Barefoot Day, and seeds in Spring.
Collaboration between our Penryn Prep Staff and Penreach Team is evident at monthly Teacher Development Workshops, hosted for the greater
Lowveld Teaching Community.
