FATHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION DRAWS OVERWHELMING COMMUNITY TURNOUT

This year’s Fathers’ Day celebration exceeded all expectations, as the Marketing Team noted an overwhelming turnout for a heartfelt event dedicated to honouring fatherhood and family connection.
What began as a simple photographic tribute quickly grew into a vibrant community gathering, welcoming not only dads and their children, but also scholars, invited boarding parents, tutors and coaches who extended the invitation to the wider school family.
More than 100 fathers and their children queued patiently for professional portraits, each capturing a moment that will be treasured for a lifetime. The experience was elevated by the presence of Hennie Homann from HH Photography and Design, whose work beautifully documented the emotion, pride and connection shared between families.
In a thoughtful touch that added warmth to the occasion, guests were treated to hot chocolate while they waited, transforming the queue into a space of conversation, laughter and shared stories. The atmosphere reflected the spirit of togetherness that defines the school community.
Penryn highlighted that the success of the event lay not only in the number of participants, but in the way it brought together different parts of the Penryn family—scholars, boarding parents, tutors and coaches, all united in celebrating the role of fathers and father figures.
