Bigger and Better for 2025!

Penryn hosted its much-anticipated annual Preschool Olympics, and this year’s event proved to be even bigger, brighter, and better than ever before. Building on the success of last year, the 2025 edition welcomed dozens of enthusiastic young athletes between the ages of three and five to the Penryn fields for a morning filled with laughter, energy and learning through play.

A total of 12 activity stations were set up, each designed to support the development of fundamental movement skills while ensuring maximum fun. From the energetic Jump and Jive, the colourful Rainbow Colours Dash, and the competitive Ring It to Win It, to the quick-thinking quiz station asking questions like “How many legs does a spider have?”

There was something for every little Olympian. The day also included crowd favourites such as the bike race, tag rugby, piggyback race, rainbow cone dash and an exciting relay that had the sidelines buzzing with cheers.

Nicole Meyer, Head of Penryn Preschool, emphasised the importance of the event:
“The Preschool Olympics is about so much more than fun. Every activity is carefully chosen to develop essential physical, social, and problem-solving skills in a safe and encouraging environment. It gives each child the chance to shine, build confidence and experience the joy of achievement.”

Parents joined in the excitement from the sidelines, creating a warm, festive atmosphere that highlighted Penryn’s strong sense of community. For many families, the event was also a chance to experience first-hand the nurturing and holistic approach that sets Penryn Preschool apart.

The Preschool Olympics has quickly become a highlight of the Penryn calendar, a celebration of childhood energy and curiosity and a reflection of the school’s belief that education extends well beyond the classroom.
